Solo due parole per il match tra Sara Del Rey e Christina Von Eerie: BOOKING PESSIMO
Capisco il desiderio di Dave Prazak di mandare Over qualche nuovo talento, e spesso lo fa anche bene (vedi Serena Deeb, ahimè), ma da come è stata gestita a me l'avventura di Christina in SHIMMER mi sta già sul cu*o. Voglio dire, alla fine non ci ha guadagnato nessuna da quel match. Christina è apparsa come una debole che le prende per tutto il match e poi al 9 ritorna sul quadrato e Sara invece una povera scema. A sto punto farsi squalificare era meglio. Portava Christina in cielo come una Babyface e Sara come una Heel schizzata a cui non fotte della vittoria ma solo brutalizzare l'avversaria. Che poi sapendo quello che succede dopo mi sembra ancora più stupida sta scelta. Ed è un peccato comunque, considerando che il segmento Backstage era fatto anche bene (REBECCA KNOX che si occulta il volto è geniale, se ci ripenso il segmento fu mandato sullo schermo, quindi la gente l'aveva già "vista". Chissà se qualcuno se ne era accorto asd. La KNIGHT DYNASTY che non fa niente poi è mitica). In questo match Christina non mi ha detto niente comunque, a parte il fatto che l'ho trovata fuori forma rispetto a qualche sua vecchia prestazione. Poi boh, sono incazzata perchè sono una mark spudorata di Saretta, ma neanche la sconfitta contro Serena mi mandò così in bestia |

Bell time on Saturday, October 1st is 2pm. Bell time on Sunday, October 2nd is 1pm. Volumes 41-44 of the SHIMMER DVD series will be filmed during the course of the weekend, with two full length DVD releases taped during each day of taping. The events are suitable for all ages.

Two former SHIMMER Tag Team Title holders in HIROYO MATSUMOTO and NEVAEH return to SHIMMER competition on October 1st & 2nd. After enjoying great success in the tag team ranks earlier this year, Hiroyo has expressed her intention to focus on singles competition on Volumes 41-44. After being absent from Volumes 37-40, Nevaeh, one half of the very first SHIMMER Tag Champs, looks to make her mark once again within the SHIMMER ranks come October.

After breaking into professional wrestling in the Midwest region of the United States, HAILEY HATRED switched her focus to the women's wrestling scene in Japan. Peccato che ci sta solo un giorno. Spero facciano la giusta scelta di sbatterla contro Ayako Hamada e Mercedes Martinez.
Però che palle tutte queste Joshi. Cioè a me piacciono da morire, e faccio di tutto per vedere quanta più roba loro è possibile ma in SHIMMER ho come l'impressione che a causa del roster troppo compatto a parte Ayako Hamada e in parte Ayumi Kurihara nessuna sia riuscita propriamente ad emergere, e queste aggiunte, per quanto ottime (cavolo se queste due sono due talentoni, riferendomi a Kana e a Yumi Ohka), non credo serviranno/diranno molto più di quanto non potrebbero già fare le altre Joshi che ci sono. Vabbè che poi Ayumi forse stavolta la lasciano fuori però.... |

Più che altro bisogna anche vedere 'sto giro chi non chiamano, in generale. Perchè quel "Over 25" mi puzza e suggerisce che ad Ottobre saranno sottomedia, dato che anche negli scorsi tapings meno di 32 non erano (senza contare le ragazze dello SPARKLE) e sembra strano darsi quel limite, seppur approsimativo, per poi avere lo stesso solito numero di ragazze. Cosa che ovviamente fa ben sperare in una gestione più oculata dei minutaggi, ma fa anche pensare ad un turnover nell'undercard. Non avrebbe senso stare sottonumero (che sottonumero non è, son sempre troppe) per poi chiamare le solite con cui si è già lavorato.
Oltretutto due mesi dopo ci sarà JoshiMania della Chikara (hype della Madonna, tra l'altro!), qua portano Kana di comune accordo, portano una Yumi Ohka, portano la migliore gaijin che c'è di là come la Hatred, la loro seconda student è in Giappone, le 4 Joshi in SHIMMER son venute su bene (dai, in 3 con titoli di coppia nel palmares ed Ayumi pushatissima in singolo battendo dei bei nomi ed è pure stata #1 Contender... A me non sembra male), Ayako ormai è un punto fermo... Credo che sia il momento giusto per continuare su questa strada. Ecco, starebbe invece sul cazzo se Ayako e Ayumi non ci fossero, a 'sto punto. |

I also heard a number regarding the size of the entire roster, Sparkle included, and let's just say, you'll like it. :)

SHIMMER - WOMEN ATHLETES is proud to announce the addition of AYUMI KURIHARA to its next set of DVD tapings, just over four weeks away!
One of the Joshi 4 Hope athletes from Japan, Ayumi Kurihara made an immediate impression within the SHIMMER ranks upon her arrival in early 2010. Ayumi emerged victorious in her debut contest against rival Tomoka Nakagawa, and proceeded to rack up a series of key victories to work her way into a title shot against Madison Eagles in the main event of Volume 34. Kurihara has been able to hand losses to several SHIMMER originals, including Nikki Roxx, Sara Del Rey, Daizee Haze, and Cheerleader Melissa during her SHIMMER tenure thus far, making her a major player to keep your eyes on heading into the future. At the last set of SHIMMER tapings, Ayumi's contest against Ayako Hamada was the only match advertised in advance, and it managed to sell out the Berwyn Eagles Club for the taping that day. Many fans pointed to Kurihara vs. Hamada in the main event of Volume 38 as their favorite match of the weekend. Both joshi athletes gave those in attendance the rare opportunity to see international stars collide live and in person. Though she was unable to secure the SHIMMER Championship during her first title opportunity, Ayumi is a championship caliber athlete who is determined to achieve success everywhere she goes throughout the world. The upcoming tapings will mark Kurihara's fourth trip to the United States to compete for SHIMMER!

SHIMMER - WOMEN ATHLETES is proud to announce the addition of CHRISTINA VON EERIE to its next set of DVD tapings, just four weeks away!
California native Christina Von Eerie made her SHIMMER debut earlier this year, and immediately drew the ire of former SHIMMER Champion Sara Del Rey. After being attacked by Del Rey and physically thrown out of the locker room before she could even have her first match, Christina proceeded to go out to the ring and call out Del Rey for a fight.
In the series of matches against Del Rey which followed, as well as a hard hitting contest against SHIMMER original Mercedes Martinez, Von Eerie displayed her toughness and never say die attitude inside the ring.
At the conclusion of her Vol. 40 outing, the Berwyn crowd chanted "Please come back" to the Punk Princess, and she will do just that on October 1st & 2nd!
