- Daniel Bryan began SmackDown talking about never having a match stop because of an injury. Bryan continues to talk about people thinking he is the weak link. Bryan said Randy Orton should have kept the fight going and continue the match, not treat him like a dog and tap on his head. Bryan said he wants to prove he's not the weak link by facing Orton tonight. Orton comes out and says he was trying to help Bryan, but Bryan says he felt like he was being patronized. This sets up the main event of Orton vs. Bryan.

- Curtis Axel vs. Wade Barrett and Alberto Del Rio vs. Chris Jericho is announced for tonight.

1. Sheamus defeated Cody Rhodes (w/Damien Sandow) with the Cloverleaf in 5:36. After the match, Sandow came in and beat down Sheamus.

– Another promo of The Wyatt Family was shown.

2. WWE Intercontinental Champion Curtis Axel (w/Paul Heyman) defeated Wade Barrett to retain in 4:40. Barrett was in control on the outside, then Axel got on the offensive in the ring. Barrett missed his Bullhamer elbow and Axel capitalized for the win. The Miz was on commentary.

3. WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee (w/Big E Langston) defeated Natalya with her submission move from Payback in 2:42. Natalya and AJ argued before the match about AJ not having respect. AJ Lee won in quick fashion by locking in her move and forcing Natalya to tap.

- Backstage, Aksana teasing Kaitlyn about AJ's win and made fun of her. Kaitlyn attacks her and goes crazy until Layla breaks it up.

4. World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio defeated Chris Jericho via disqualification in 10:29. Jericho was in full control early on, but Del Rio hit him hard with some kicks to the chest and legs. Jericho made a comeback late in the match with a lionsault for a two count. Del Rio and Jericho reversed each other's submission moves until Ricardo interfered. This prompted Dolph Ziggler to come out. Alberto Del Rio escaped and Jericho hit Ziggler with the Codebreaker. Del Rio comes back to kick Ziggler and pose over him.

5. Christian defeated Drew McIntyre. He hit the Killswitch for the victory in 2:55. After the match, he cuts a promo about being back in front of his peeps. The Shield interrupted Christian and hit a Triple Powerbomb.

- WWE recapped the Brock-Punk developments from Raw. Renee Young interviewed Paul Heyman in the back regarding Brock Lesnar’s attack on CM Punk, however Heyman avoided the questions and asked Renee some questions himself. Heyman then said that CM Punk made it clear that he isn’t his client, but they are friends and put over Curtis Axel for retaining his WWE Intercontinental Championship earlier in the evening.

6. Daniel Bryan defeated Randy Orton via count-out in 14:11. Bryan tried to get the No Lock on early, but Orton comeback and took control. Both men exchanged back and forth blows. Kicks from Bryan and punches from Orton kept the pace moving along. There was a really good flurry of offense by both. Orton came back with a superplex, but Bryan ducked the RKO. On the outside, Bryan hit a big knee. Bryan hit a suicide dive on Orton and got back in the ring. This counted out Orton.

- After the match, Daniel Bryan demands that the match be restarted. He said he didn't want it to end that way. The ref refuses to restart the match. This concludes the tapings.

Smackdown SPOILERS 7/5

- C.M. Punk opened Smackdown dressed in wrestler gear for his "special appearance." Punk watched a replay of Curtis Axel stealing their tag victory on Raw. Punk opened with a dig on John Cena, talked about the Fourth of July, talked about how independent he is, tied it into how he's going to win the WWE Title MITB match, talked about Brock Lesnar, and Alberto Del Rio interrupted.

Del Rio claimed this is his show, so Punk told him off. Del Rio then went off on Americans to "USA" chants. Punk called out Del Rio on his babyface "Born in Mexico, Made in America" gimmick, calling him phony. Del Rio told Punk to get out, but Punk refused. So, Teddy Long booked Del Rio vs. Punk as the main event.

- Backstage, Punk was with Paul Heyman. Heyman questioned whether Punk can out-wrestle Del Rio, which Punk said he's going to do. Heyman tried to talk Punk into letting him be ringside with Punk at Money in the Bank, but Punk said no.

- Rhodes Scholars came out to the ring to face The Usos. A lot of heat on Sandow for his pre-match promo, including his catchphrase of "Slackjaw mouth-breathers." Catchy, ain't it?

(1) The Usos beat Rhodes Scholars (Damien Sandow & Cody Rhodes) in about 5:00. Cody controlled early, then a quick tag to Sandow. The Usos then got the double-team going, superkicked Cody on the apron, and hit a double top-rope splash on Sandow for the win.

Post-match, The Shield appeared on the big screen. Shield cut a promo on being dominant.

- Divas action was up next. First, a recap of what A.J. Lee did to Kaitlyn on Raw with the photoshopped picture.

(2) Alicia Fox beat Kaitlyn (w/Layla) in 3:00. Kaitlyn dominated, with little offense for Fox. Then, A.J. interrupted skipping around the ring. Fox capitalized with a roll-up for three.

- Backstage skit: A.J. ran away from Kaitlyn, but the Bellas stopped Kaitlyn. Kaitlyn then talked with Langston, who laughed at her.

- Recap of the latest Daniel Bryan/Kane/Randy Orton drama.

- Backstage, Christian and Orton talked with Renee Young about their gameplans against each other.

- Wyatt Family promo.

- Time for Orton vs. Christian. Huge pop for Orton, but Christian lost his pop after wrestling on Main Event. Time for another Face vs. Face match-up flashing back to 2011 Smackdown.

(3) Randy Orton beat Christian in 15:00. Orton dominated early. Christian took it to Orton on the outside, then hit the Spear for a two count back in the ring. Christian tried the Killswitch, but Orton countered with "vintage" offense. For the finish, Christian pushed off the RKO, then went to the top and jumped over Orton, who responded with the RKO for the win. The crowd exploded for the RKO.

- Backstage, Paul Heyman and Teddy Long talked. Long wanted Heyman at the commentary table for the Punk-Del Rio main event, and Long said he would not take "no" for an answer.

- Dolph Ziggler (finally) cut a promo about Del Rio and losing the World Title before facing Drew McIntyre.

(4) Dolph Ziggler beat Drew McIntyre in 4:00. Ziggler dominated early, then Drew over-powered Ziggler and got in some offense. Ziggler then hit the Zig-Zag for the win.

After the match, 3MB tried to attack Ziggler, but he escaped and teased 3MB. They tried to get him again, but Ziggler escaped again.

- Mark Henry video promo to hype Henry challenging John Cena for the WWE Title at the MITB PPV.

- Backstage, Fandango and Summer Rae are standing by. And, the Fandango gimmick comes down from the ceiling.

(5) Fandango beat Justin Gabriel in 2:00. Back-and-forth with some high-flying. Gabriel went for a Suicide Dive, but got hit in the head. Fandango then hit a Macho Man Elbow for the pin.

- Colter, Antonio Cesaro, and Jack Swagger cut a promo about the Fourth of July.

- Main event time - Heyman is on commentary. Del Rio vs. Punk is non-title.

(5) World Hvt. champion Alberto Del Rio vs. C.M. Punk went to a No Contest via double count-out in 18:00. Del Rio attacked Punk's shoulder throughout, looking to soften up Punk for the cross arm-breaker. Punk had a small comeback broken up by a backbreaker. Punk rolled out of the ring, then got thrown into the barricade and over the announce table. Del Rio then attacked Heyman at commentary. Punk then used the commentary table to launch himself onto Del Rio and into the barricade, resulting in the bell sounding. Lilian Garcia announced a double count-out for a No Contest.

After the announcement, Punk threw Del Rio back into the ring and hit the GTS. Apparently this was the end of Smackdown.

After the dust settled, Del Rio got up and cut a heel promo about how he is the champion. Ziggler then came out and cleared him from the ring. Ziggler celebrated, then went ringside to high-five the fans.

That completed the Smackdown TV taping tonight.

This was described as a very good segment.

The building is packed. It's not sold out, but like 7/8 full.

The show opened with Teddy Long in the ring. He announced that Vince McMahon was in the building to give him a job evaluation. He asked if the crowd thought he should be the permanent GM. The crowd responded positively. He said this would be the best Smackdown ever.

Booker T's music hit and he made his return. Booker T thanked Teddy but said he would be resuming the general manager duties. Enter Vince McMahon, who said there can be only one. He asked what they have to offer. Teddy announced Curtis Axel vs. Chris Jericho for the Intercontinental Title. Booker announced Alberto Del Rio vs. Randy Orton.

Enter Brad Maddox, who said he already thought of those matches, and announced the Smackdown return of Rob Van Dam. Big pop. Vince teased all three and announced that the new Smackdown general manager is Vickie Guerrero. Big heat and "No!" chants followed. Vickie cut a promo about how she's back and she hates all of us. Nuclear heat.

1. Dolph Ziggler beat Jack Swagger (w/Antonio Cesaro and Zeb Colter). Ziggler won after hitting the Zig-Zag in about four minutes. Cesaro and Zeb were sent backstage after Cesaro pulled Ziggler off the apron into his uppercut. Post match, Ziggler cut a quick promo about dumping AJ. He said he should've done it sooner.

AJ was watching backstage with Big E and went nuts. She beat up a chair and even attacked Big E. Eventually, he hugged her and they had a moment. They were about to kiss when Langston pulled away and kissed her on the forehead.

There was a non-televised entrance for The Shield. The Uso's microphones didn't work for their entrance. It was really staticky. Is that a word? it is now.

2. Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns vs. The Usos never started because Dean Ambrose ran in. Mark Henry made the save to a huge pop. Babyface turn. The Shield retreated back up the stands and the babyfaces held the ring.

3. Daniel Bryan beat Wade Barrett via LeBell Lock in about 5:00. Unbelievable reaction for Bryan. Huge pop, arena-wide "Yes!" and "Daniel Bryan" chants. No need for audio sweetener with this great crowd tonight.

Miz TV with Paul Heyman. Epic non-response for Miz's entrance. Great heat on Paul. Paul put over Brock Lesnar and offered Punk a piece of advise: "Stay down." Paul threatened that if Punk ever showed his face again, he would be be victimized by Brock Lesnar. More brilliance from Heyman. Miz was lame, then he left.

On his way up the ramp, Heyman interrupted Miz leaving and brought out Curtis Axel. He and Miz exchanged looks but passed each other on the stage.

4. Curtis Axel (w/ Paul Heyman) pinned Chris Jericho in about 10 minutes to retain the Intercontinental Title. Decent back and forth match that Axel won with his hangman's facebuster. The crowd went bonkers for Jericho's offense (the pop on The Walls being applied won't be sweetened. Unreal). There seemed to be no connection between Axel and the crowd. Post-match, Ryback came to the ring and hit Jericho with the Meat Hook and Shellshocked.

Damien Sandow came to the ring. He said he didn't screw Cody, so he couldn't understand why Cody attacked him Monday. However, he wasn't going to spew angry rhetoric at Cody, because that's what makes him different from us. He said he and Cody were still best friends, and he invited Cody to join him in the ring.

Cody entered and Sandow said he forgave Cody. He offered Cody a "metaphorical olive branch" in the form of the offer to be the "guardian of the case. Cody, you earned this." Sandow said. Cody attacked Sandow, but Sandow quickly escaped and ran to the back. Unimpressive reactions for Cody.

5. Rob Van Dam beat Darren Young (w/Titus O'Neil). RVD won with the Five Star Frog Splash in about five minutes. A showcase match for RVD, who used all of his standard spots.

Backstage, Vickie Guerrero had security remove Teddy Long from the building.

A brief graphic hyped that Big Show would be making his return to Raw this Monday.

6. Randy Orton pinned Alberto Del Rio in a non-title match. Orton went over clean after an RKO in about 10 minutes. What you'd expect from these two. I still don't like how frequently champions lose non-title matches. This was the end of Smackdown.

Dark Main Event

1. Daniel Bryan, Rob Van Dam, and Randy Orton beat The Shield in a six-man tag. The babyface trio went over in about seven minutes when Rollins tapped out to the LeBell Lock.

1. Randy Orton defeated Damien Sandow. The show opened with the match. Orton had a great pop and Sandow had a great promo. The crowd was into the match quickly. Cody came out and distracted Sandow, who got the RKO from Randy for the win. Cody then proceeded to steal the case leaving Sandow confused.

CM Punk came out to huge pop. He cut a great promo on Brock and Heyman. The crowd loved it. Fandango came out, did his routine, and got hit with GTS. Punk left and the Wyatt's were hyped for later.

2. Mark Henry and the The Usos defeated Wade Barrett and the Prime Time Players.Poor Barrett he needs to be up in the card. Henry and the Usos received equally good pops. Henry hit the World's Strongest Slam and won the match.

A video aired of AJ's "state of mind" coming tonight. Alberto Del Rio told Vicki he should pick his opponent since John Cena did. RVD came in and Del Rio told RVD to prove himself for a title shot. RVD said he would tonight. Sandow came out to look for his case. He talked to Sin Cara who speaks no English. RVD came out to biggest pop of night.

3. Alberto Del Rio defeated Rob Van Dam. Del Rio won with a kick (I think) as RVD talked to the ref.

Sandow was still looking and ran into Mark Henry and Booker T. They acted like Cody was a thief. Sandow said Booker used to be GM and Booker did his "You did not just say that," phrase. AJ out next with Big E Langston and called out Dolph Ziggler. She said she is the champ and is doing fine. She then showed Ziggler's house key and they had a good exchange where AJ threw out Ziggler's belongings in ring. It ended with Kaitlyn hitting the spear on AJ and Dolph hitting Fameasser on Langston for the close of the segment.

4. The Wyatt Family defeated Tons of Funk. Bray Wyatt cut a promo on Kane after the match.

Sandow went to Vicki to tell her about his lost case and said he is going to find his briefcase tonight.

5. Christian defeated Jack Swagger (w/Zeb Colter). We loved Colter's words. He did speak some truth down here, ha ha, Christian beat swagger with his finisher in a good match.

Sandow was out next to issue a reward for his case. Rhodes was shown on the big screen with the case and the segment ended with Sandow chasing for his case outside.

6. CM Punk defeated Fandango. Match of the night. This should be the main event of the show.

Sandow was pissed and still looking for his case outside. In a throwback from a previous Smackdown in Corpus Christi when a certain someone got chokeslamed in the ocean, Cody had the briefcase and threw it into the Bay for a huge pop to end Smackdown!!! The case was shown sinking while Sandow yelled for the case and title shot. He jumped out of nowhere to find the case but quickly retreated and ended Smackdown with Sandow chocking on water from the Corpus Christi Bay.

Dark Match Main Event.

Dolph Ziggler defeated Big E Langston (w/AJ Lee). This was probably better than the advertised Del Rio vs. Ziggler street fight. This is fresher to the crowd and is probably a warm up for their SummerSlam match. If so, it will be awesome. AJ played the crowd well as Ziggler won by hitting his finisher to a great pop to end the night.

i tapings della prossima settimana

Alex Riley and Michael Cole were on commentary.

Alberto Del rio came out and thanked everybody for nothing. He criticized the crowd for not supporting him as champion and said Vickie Guerrero will let him choose his SummerSlam opponent like Brad Maddox let John Cena. After a drum roll, he chose Ricardo Rodriguez. Vickie came out and didn't allow it. She announced a Triple Threat match between Rob Van Dam, Randy Orton, and Christian that would determine Del Rio's SummerSlam opponent.

Highlights aired of Cody Rhodes throwing Damien Sandow's briefcase into the Gulf of Mexico.

1. Cody Rhodes pinned Jack Swagger (w/Zeb Colter). Before the match, Zeb cut a promo about Sam Houston being disgusted if he saw what kind of people were outside the Toyota Center. The promo was cut short when Cody knocked mic out of his hand. Rhodes won a very short match with a roll up.

Josh Matthews interviewed Cody backstage about throwing Sandow's briefcase into the Gulf of Mexico. Cody said he is tired of Sandow's arrogance and Sandow talking down to him. Sandow ended the interview by attacking Cody.

2. Big E Langston pinned Sin Cara. Big E won with The Big Ending.

Kaitlyn cut a promo in which she spoke about being from Houston and winning the Divas Title in Houston. Layla spoke about Kaitlyn being the real deal. It was an awkward exchange.

3. C.M. Punk defeated Fandango via submission. There were lots of 'C.M. Punk' chants and "you can't wrestle" chants for Fandango. Punk sold a hurt right arm throughout the match. A superplex into the Anaconda Vice ended the match.

Rob Van Dam was interviewed backstage by Renee Young. He was interrupted by Christian and Randy Orton. They all stated that they would win the Triple Threat.

4. A.J. Lee defeated Kaitlyn (w/Layla) via submission to retain the Divas Championship. During the match, Layla kept Kaitlyn from attacking A.J. outside the ring. After the match, Layla skipped out with A.J.

There was a video package on Booker T since it was "Booker T Day" in Houston.

There was a video package announcing the TLC pay-per-view for Houston on December 15.

5. Christian defeated Rob Van Dam and Randy Orton in a Triple Threat to become the No. 1 contender to the World Hvt. Championship. Christian entered to no reaction. He pandered to the Houston crowd and claimed he's walking out the No. 1 contender, which led to him getting booed. RVD entered to a loud pop. Del Rio came out and said he's going to enjoy watching the three stooges beat the guacamole out of each other. Christian ended up pinning Orton to become No. 1 contender. The finish came after Orton RKO'd Van Dam. Christian used a backslide pin for the win.

After the match, Del Rio attacked Christian while he's being interviewed by Josh Matthews. Del Rio kicked Christian in the face and laid the championship belt over his head. (Show ends here I think).

Del Rio took off Sign Guy's red hat and threw it further into the crowd. Dolph's music hit and Lilian announced a street fight for the title.

Dark Main Event

1. Alberto Del Rio beat Dolph Ziggler in a Street Fight to retain the World Hvt. Championship. Del Rio pinned Ziggler after throwing him into a chair lodged in the corner. Del Rio told the 'gringos' and 'mojados' ("illegals" to be pc) that it isn't over until he says it is. He grabbed a chair and went for Dolph, who avoided it and hits the Zig Zag to end the show.

1. Randy Orton beat Rob Van Dam in 12:44. I have to give it a draw on a babyface pop from the crowd. Pretty much down the middle. Orton went over with the RKO. Great back and forth match with Orton controlling a little more of the match. Orton hit the RKO after RVD missed the frog splash. RVD popped up and got hit with a nasty RKO. Very solid match.

MizTV featuring AJ Lee with Big E. Langston. Dolph Ziggler interrupted the interview. Kaitlyn came out and interrupted as well. Miz booked a SummerSlam match on the fly due to his role as the SummerSlam host - AJ and Big E Langston vs. Ziggler and Kaitlyn. Lee and Langston jumped Ziggler and Kaitlyn. The babyfaces came back and hit each of their finishers, leaving Big E and AJ lying in the ring.

2. Fandango (w/Summer Rae) beat Kofi Kingston in 4:44. Kingston received a nice pop. Summer Rae in person will make you reach for your chapstick in your pants regardless of whether you carry chapstick or not. Rae's work as a "manager" is solid. Fandango went over by pinfall with a leg drop off the top rope.

3. Daniel Bryan beat Wade Barrett in 4:08. Barrett is now clean shaven. Bryan reached into his beard and blinded Barrett with a handful of lice. No, that didn't happen. Bryan won with the No! Lock.

4. Kane defeated Heath Slater, Drew McIntyre, and Jinder Mahal in a handicap match in 1:36. 3MB got a lot of heat, but it was mostly go away heat in my opinion. Kane chokeslammed Jinder for the win. The Wyatt Family interrupted on the big screen and delivered a promo.

5. Christian beat Alberto Del Rio in a non-title match in 18:40. Christian won with a small package. Solid, solid, solid match. 18:40 of solid wrestling. Del Rio jumped Christian, but Christian reversed him into the Unprettier. Christian headed up the ramp afterward, leaving Del Rio in the ring.

Damien Sandow charged the ring with a ref and his briefcase. Before the bell could ring, Cody Rhodes ran down to the ring and climbed up the top rope and hit a flying body press to break up any attempt by Sandow to take Del Rio's title. This concluded the taping.

doppio report

Lilian Garcia came out to a nice reaction. She was followed by Michael Cole, who received spattered boos and some applause, and JBL, who received a decent pop.

Smackdown started off with The Wyatt Family coming out to a big pop. A video recapped their feud with Kane, then Bray cut a promo while sitting in his chair in the center of the ring. Kane's pyro hit and he attacked from behind, but The Family eventually got the upper hand and left him lying.

1. Christian beat Damien Sandow. Christian won with a roll up. Christian speared him post match. Del Rio then ambushed Christian from behind, and said he'll never win the title again. He set up the cross armbreaker, but Christian reversed it and hit the Killswitch...

Renee Young interviewed Rob Van Dam backstage. Big Show and Mark Henry joined him. They team up versus The Shield tonight...

2. WWE Diva's Champion AJ Lee and Layla beat Kaitlyn and Natalya. AJ hit Kaitlyn with a running knee to the temple for the win...

Renee interviewed Ryback backstage. Ryback beat up some producer because he's a bully...

3. Rob Van Dam, Big Show, and Mark Henry defeated The Shield. Big Show caught Dean Ambrose with a KO punch and RVD followed up with a frog splash for the win.

4. The Miz beat Jack Swagger (w/Zeb Colter, Antonio Cesaro). The referee ejected Cesaro and Zeb from ringside. Miz rolled up Swagger from behind for the victory.

5. Intercontinental Champion Curtis Axel (w/Paul Heyman) beat Zack Ryder. Axel won with his neckbreaker finisher. Heyman delivered a post match promo.

6. Daniel Bryan beat Wade Barrett in a No DQ match. Mr. McMahon made a surprise appearance early in the match. Bryan had Barrett in the Yes! Lock, but Vince pulled the ref out of the ring before he could signal for the bell. Barrett got the upper hand, and Vince called down Brad Maddox in a ref shirt after Barrett hit the Bull Hammer, but Bryan kicked out. A cage is hanging above the ring.

The Smackdown opened with a recap of the main event at SummerSlam and the live crowd exploded with yes chants but booing when Randy Orton cashing was shown. They also recapped the events from Raw as well with the McMahons.

Vickie Guerrero opened the show to a shit load of heat and introduced Randy Orton. He spoke about giving us what we want. It was hard to hear he got a lot of heat. He said that he told us the truth about cashing in his briefcase at SummerSlam. He said he was surprised by what Triple H did, and that he didn't need his help to win. He asked for our support and No! chants broke out. He said he is the face of the WWE.

Daniel Byran interrupted Orton and thanked John Cena for the opportunity at SummerSlam. Bryan said it's time for the face of the WWE to change. Bryan challenged Orton for the title by saying I can beat you for that pointing to the title. He challenged Orton for the title tonight, but Orton said it has to wait until Night Of Champions. Orton and Bryan stood face to face and Orton held up the title. Bryan hit and kicked Orton from the ring.

Vickie was show talking and yelling about What Bryan did backstage, and Wade Barrett interrupted. A steel cage match was announced for later in the show

1. Intercontinental Champion Curtis Axel (w/Paul Heyman) beat Cody Rhodes. A pretty well wrestled match from both men, but there is a reason this match was on Smackdown. The crowd was pretty quiet for this match. The guy next to me caught me taking notes and told me to pay attention. WWE fans are crazy. A CM Punk chant broke out.

Heyman cut a promo afterward and received a ton of heat. He said he is in pain because of Punk. He moaned about Punk and trashed him, which caused a lot of heat. Heyman said Punk is lost without him. Axel said Punk doesn't deserve a title shot for his title, but he challenged him for the title for this coming Monday on Raw.

WWE Smackdown

Hunter said he didn't want to fire Cody, Cody fired Cody. Hunter gave him a chance to fight for his job. He doesn't want anyone to fear for their jobs so he set this up as an open forum. He opened it up for wrestler questions. None would step forward. He said he wants to grow together. Sandow stepped forward and said he supports the firing of Cody. Hunter said he doesn't want them to kiss his butt like that. Kofi stepped up and said the locker room is living in fear because Cody was fired and he doesn't see how that's best for biz.

Heath Slater stepped up and complained about Show not stepping up. Hunter thanked him for emptying what he is sure is the entire content of his mind. RVD stepped up and said what's happened hasn't been cool, dude. Hunter said he has waited since 2000 to hear RVD call him dude. Ryback complained about being called a bully. Hunter booked a Ryback vs. Dolph rematch.

Hunter noted that Daniel Bryan was not onstage. He said it's because Bryan's ego is out of control. Hunter said Bryan can pick any member of The Shield to face tonight. HHH booked Kofi vs. Axel in a non-title match, and RVD vs. Randy Orton as rewards for speaking up. HHH introduced Orton. Oh, Shield have been standing guard at ringside. Just noticed…

1. Rob Van Dam (w/Ricardo Rodriguez) vs. Randy Orton. Alberto Del Rio sat in on commentary. No crappy intro from Ricardo. There are people walking the aisle selling the "Yes!" towels for $5. One actually sold in front of me. Del Rio ran Ricardo into the post, then RVD did a flip onto ADR, who spent the rest of the match shaking his hand/arm. Orton won clean with the RKO. ADR looked fine when he beat up RVD afterward. Big RVD chant afterward.

A Los Matadores vignette aired… Backstage interview with Renee Young and Daniel Bryan, who said he was told by management not to attend the town hall meeting. He said he would let The Shield decide which one of them will face him since he knows it won't be 1 on 1… AJ told Layla, Alicia, and Aksana she would rather put her title on the line against one of them than Total Divas cast members…

2. Dolph Ziggler vs. Ryback. Dean Ambrose attacked Ziggler during the match and then Ryback got the win.

3. Curtis Axel (w/Paul Heyman) vs. Kofi Kingston in a non-title match. Shout out to Dot Net reader Andre who said hello! "Welcome home" chant for Axel. Believe it or not, loud dueling chants for both men. Only in Minnesota. Kofi won with the SOS.

The Wyatt Family video from Monday aired…

4. Naomi (w/Carmen) vs. Brie Bella (w/Nikki). Crickets in the crowd. The Divas that AJ riled up earlier attacked both women for a no contest. Layla introduced AJ.

The Real Americans made their entrance. Another Los Matadores vignette aired. Only a "We the people," from Zeb. Weak…

5. The Real Americans vs. the Usos. One of the Uso's went up top, Swagger pushed him off and Cesaro caught him with the uppercut on the way down and pinned him. Cool finish.

HHH told Show to treat 3MB as human stress balls by blowing off steam…

6. Big Show vs. 3MB in a handicap match. Show hit a double chokeslam on Jinder and McIntyre, then the KO punch on Slater for the 3-1 handicap match win. 3MB left. Bryan intro. Show headed to the stage and Hunter led him to the back while The Shield entered through the crowd.

7. Seth Rollins vs. Daniel Bryan. Reigns and Ambrose at ringside. Great yes/no dynamic in punch exchange. Bryan with a wicked German, then a great missile drop kick. Bryan tossed to the floor, where Reigns clotheslined him to boos. Rollins went up top, Bryan caught him in the Yes Lock on the way down. He released it because he was distracted, but Bryan came back with the running knee for the win. Bryan went to the ramp to celebrate and was struck with the title belt. Orton stood over Bryan to end the taping.

Dark Matches:

Two darks advertised. Vickie came out and mocked Bryan. She said he better get up because she promised the people a championship match.

1. Randy Orton vs. Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship. Bryan locked in the Yes Lock and Orton teased tapping, but The Shield ran in for the DQ. RVD, Dolph, and Kofi made the save. RVD frog splash capped off the crowd pleasing finishers on Rollins to end the show. RVD chants followed. Faces shook hands at ringside as Bryan's music played to end the night.

Damien Sandow speaks up and says he supports Triple H firing Cody Rhodes. Triple H says Cody fired Cody. Kofi Kingston speaks up and says everyone is afraid and that's not best for business. Triple H talks about how the wrestlers' egos are out of control and says that's why Daniel Bryan isn't out here. Heath Slater speaks up but Triple H cracks jokes at him. Rob Van Dam says Cody getting fired wasn't cool and calls Triple H "dude." Ryback speaks up and doesn't like being called a bully. Ryback vs. Dolph Ziggler, Kofi Kingston vs. Curtis Axel and RVD vs. Randy Orton is announced for tonight. Also, Bryan gets to pick The Shield member that he wants to face tonight. The show opened with Big Show coming to the ring and being forced to read an apology letter for his actions on Monday. Triple H then came out and informed Show that he would be suspended for the night without pay. The Shield would then attack the Big Show, and after a fairly entertaining brawl they would deliver the triple power bomb.

1. Total Divas vs. Non-Total divas in a 6-man Tag Match. What a train wreck. AJ was on commentary and ran in for the DQ finish. It was so bad it was re-taped later in the show.

There was a Dance Off between Fandango, R-Truth, The Great Kahli, and Mizco Inferno. It was exactly what you think. Miz and Truth cleared Fandango from the ring and Kahli stood there and earned his paycheck… Ryback interviewed a local wrestler. He attacked him to end the segment. Ryback is supposed to be a bully. That was the point.

2. Santino Marella vs. Damien Sandow. Santino won in like three minutes with the cobra

3. Ricardo Rodriguez vs. Alberto Del Rio. RVD was in Ricardo's corner. ADR basically dominated with a few hope spots. After Del Rio won he applied the cross arm breaker until RVD broke it up and cleared Del Rio from the ring.

Paul Heyman and Curtis Axel were interviewed by Michael Cole. Heyman is golden on the mic. He said he was an advocate for peace, and that despite Axel's ability, he taught Punk everything he knew about turning the system against itself. Heyman said Night of Champions will be the last time you see Paul Heyman.

4. Dolph Ziggler vs. Dean Ambrose. Solid match which was picking up towards the end when the rest of the Shield interfered for the DQ. The Usos ran out for the save and set up a 3 vs. 3.

5. Dolph Zigger and the Usos vs. The Shield. Good Match which ended with the Shield picking up the victory.

Edge hosted the Cutting Edge with Daniel Bryan and Randy Orton. Good exchange but it was pretty short. It ended with Bryan forcing Orton to tap and the refs had to break it up. This concluded the tapping.
