- WWE Hall of Famer Edge opened the show. Lilian Garcia announced his name and the crowd erupted! He started by saying "this never gets old." He talked about how he misses it and he doesn't know what else he wants to do. He eventually introduced a video of Kane and Daniel Bryan arguing about the titles and hugging it out again from Raw. After that video a "Yes" chant broke out.

Edge continued but Daniel Bryan's entrance interrupted him. Bryan started by saying he wanted to correct Edge's use of pronouns and said, "We are not the tag team champions, I'm the tag team champions" over and over again until Edge cut him off. Edge asks how this happened. Bryan says he's one with his emotions. The crowd was hot for this with bunch of "Yes" chants. Edge eventually said, "Excuse me," and Bryan asked, "Do we have to bring up your ex-wife?" Bryan asked "Does anyone really know you Edge"? He told Edge to go back to acting and retirement and said there's nothing Edge or the fans can do to make him snap.

Edge said that sounded like a challenge. Bryan and Edge went back and forth saying "No, it doesn't" and "Yes, it does" until Kane's music interrupted them. Kane said, "Your both wrong because I'm the tag team champions." Kane and Bryan went back and forth as Edge interrupted them. Bryan and Kane said Edge seemed mad and should use Dr. Shelby's techniques to help. Edge ran over what's happened these last few weeks and said Kane is not Barney the big red dinosaur, he's the Big Red Machine. He recalled how they both tortured each other through out their careers and asks Kane if he remembers it. Kane said yes and he has to take care of that right now as Edge removes his jacket Kane holds out his arms for a hug.

Edge hesitated for a while and then Kane hugged Edge. As they hugged, Bryan started screaming "No!" until Edge told Daniel to join the hug. He started to but Damien Sandow interrupted, saying he was there to help everyone. He said some stuff using his great big words before Edge interrupted and told him to shut up. He said he would rather watch Bryan and Kane hug it out longer than he can listen to Sandow talk. Edge played with the Yes and No's to see who Sandow should wrestle. Booker T showed up on the screen and said Sandow would be in action next against Kane.

- Damien Sandow defeated Kane. Kane worked over sandow the majority of the match, and as he went for the chokeslam he was interrupted by Bryan holding up the belts and climbing onto the apron. Sandow took advantage, hit Kane with his finisher and stole the win.

- Backstage, Kane was flipping out while looking for Daniel Bryan. He found Dr. Shelby. Shelby, who told Kane to calm down. Kane said if he doesn't give him his title belt back he will rip the beard off his goat face. Bryan hopped out of a bin behind Shelby and they started yelling at each other until Shelby interrupted and made them promise to share the titles and for Kane to not rip his beard off. Shelby said he will talk to Booker T and get Bryan a match to make Kane feel better since Bryan cost Kane his match...

- Alberto Del Rio was in Booker T's office. Alberto Del Rio complained about how Booker T waited to revoke the Brogue Kick right before the match on Sunday. Booker T said he does feel bad but Del Rio needs to earn another title match and implied he could do so by winning the tag match tonight.

- Layla defeated Natalya. Eve was on commentary for the match. Layla, while never losing focus on Eve outside the ring, won with a falling neckbreaker in roughly one minute.

- Lilian Garcia announced the main event for tonight. It looks like they are taping it early tonight since the dark match is advertised as Randy Orton vs. Del Rio vs. Sheamus for the title.

- Del Rio makes his entrance to boos followed by Vickie Guerrero saying "Excuse me" as she was booed to announce Dolph Ziggler, who got no reaction at all. Orton got tons of cheers. The crowd was hot for this show! I haven't heard it this loud in Philly for some time. Sheamus got a reaction just below Randy Orton's in all cheers.

- Sheamus and Randy Orton defeated Alberto Del Rio and Dolph Ziggler. Vickie, Ricardo, Del Rio, and Ziggler were huddled at ringside before the match got underway. Sheamus and Del Rio started. Late in the match, Orton went to his vintage move set of the scoop slam and DDT through the ropes. Ziggler got involved and Del Rio got a back breaker for a two count. More offense for the heels as a RKO chant broke out. Orton went for a tag but Del Rio stopped him until Orton was able to get Del Rio out of the ring. Orton made the hot tag as well as Del Rio. Sheamus and Ziggler went back and forth. Del Rio got involved but ended up taking an RKO as Sheamus hit his Brogue Kick on Ziggler for the win.

Sheamus and Orton play to the hot crown and slap hands with fans as they cut to a shot outside the Wells Fargo Center Daniel Bryan makes a silent Entrance with the lights off for his match.

- Cody Rhodes beat Daniel Bryan. Bryan got in "Yes/No" battles with the crowd early on as he screamed no with every hit he landed on Cody. Bryan and Rhodes went back and forth before Bryan got the No! Lock in just over two minutes into the match. Kane's pyro went off twice around the ring as Daniel got up and was distracted until Rhodes hit Cross Rhodes to steal the win. Kane laughed.

- A Wrestlemania 29 ad airs as Brodus Clays Disco Ball lowered.

- Backstage, Daniel Bryan was looking for Kane. When he found him, Kane was laughing. Bryan asked, "What was that?" Kane said he doesn't know what he's talking about. Bryan complained about the pyro. They went back and forth about how Kane belonged in a basement and Bryan belonged in a petting zoo. They saw Sandow and Rhodes looking on as they said their stint as champions is a joke. A tag match was made between the four, and Kane and Bryan argued over who they are more afraid of. It is nice to see the tag belts getting a lot of attention.

- Brodus Clay beat Heath Slater. Brodus did his usual offense routine until Jinder Mahal and Drew McIntyre attacked Clay from behind for the DQ. Eventually, Mahal locked in the Camel Clutch and the heels celebrate over Clay...

- Santino Marella defeated Antonio Cesaro. Cesaro got a hold locked on Santino, but he fought back and got the Cobra out. A distraction by Aksana led to Cesaro hitting finisher. Aksana fell into the ring and hurt her leg so the ref didn't make the count. Eventually, Santino rolled up Cesaro for the win. Cesaro grabed a mic and told Aksana, "I'm thinking something, let me tell you in five different languages." He followed up by saying, "We're finished." Aksana looked concerned as we went to break with another graphic for the Kane/Bryan vs. Rhodes/Sandow match...

- Kane and Daniel Bryan beat Damien Sandow and Cody Rhodes by DQ. The Prime Time Players, The Uso's, Tyson Kidd, and Justin Gabriel came out to serve as lumberjacks. Rhodes hit the Beautiful Disaster for a good near fall on Bryan. He worked him over until a double cross body sent them both down. Sandow and Kane tagged in.

Kane worked over Sandow. He went for the chokeslam, Sandow fought out, but Kane eventually landed the move. Rhodes hit Kane with a chair for a DQ finish. Kane took both Rhodes and Sandow out, and Bryan held a chair over Rhodes to "Yes!" chants. He decided to share and allow Kane to hit Rhodes with the chair. Funny moment. Both men dealt dual chair shots to Sandow and the crowd chanted "Yes!" Kane then grabbed every lunberjack from ringside and the champs delivered more chairshots than Triple H gave Undertaker at WrestleMania 28.

Big Show opened and cut a promo about how he lost the World Hvt. Championship to Daniel Bryan in 45 seconds and then Bryan lost to Sheamus at WrestleMania in 18 seconds. He said that was the turning point in his career and now no one makes fun of him anymore (in reference to his build at Mania with Cody Rhodes).

Randy Orton came out and said that their main event was to become No. 1 contender at Hell in a Cell, then Del Rio interrupted and told them both to go to the back of the line because he was screwed by Booker at Night of Champions. At that point, Orton hit the RKO on Del Rio and left the ring to end the opening segment.

1. Antonio Cesaro defeated Santino to retain the U.S. Championship. Antonio came out solo. Good back and forth contest with Cesaro pinning Santino and retaining (thank god) after The Neutralizer.

2. Beth Phoenix beat Natalya. Beth received a huge hometown pop and she has a Polish eagle and Sabres logo hybrid, and the Sabres "B" shoulder patch on her ring gear. Awesome! Beth won after a roll-up and the crowd popped huge. Eve came out and suspended Beth indefinitely until the Kaitlyn attack investigation is over.

Beth Phoenix asked Booker backstage why she was suspended. Booker said she wasn't suspended. Eve intervened and said it was Teddy Long's decision to suspend Beth, then Booker told Teddy Long he's got some thinking to do. They showed Miz putting on makeup for a Miz TV segment with Sheamus for later.

3. Wade Barrett beat Zack Ryder. Barrett won with his new finisher.

The Miz came out for Miz TV. Sheamus came out took Miz's mic and turned the tables on Miz and by asking questions. Miz got the mic back promoted his movie, the book Mick Foley wrote about him, and his SiriusXM show. Dolph and Vickie came out and Dolph guaranteed that after Hell in a cell he will be the World Heavyweight Champion. All three guys eventually started to brawl and ruined the set. Eventually, Sheamus cleared the ring of Ziggler and Miz. Sheamus stood alone at the end.

4. Damien Sandow and Cody Rhodes defeated The Uso's. Sandow and Rhodes won after Rhodes scored with the Cross Rhodes. It looks like there's a tournament with tag teams leading up to a title match, so it would appear that Rhodes and Sandow were the first to advance.

5. Ryback beat Tensai. No Sakamoto again tonight. Ryback won with his finisher and got huge pops from the crowd, which surprised my wife and I.

They showed Randy Orton walking to the ring from the back when Alberto Del Rio attacked him. A ref eventually told him to stop. Show made his entrance. Orton's music played and he didn't come out right away. Del Rio came out instead and declared himself in the match instead of Orton. Randy came out behind ADR and beat him up and threw him against the WWE logo.

6. Big Show defeated Randy Orton. Pretty good match with lots of heat on Show. Orton hit an RKO only for Show to kick out. He attempted a punt kick but Show caught him for a chokeslam. Orton kicked out of Show's pin attempt. Show picked him up again hit yet another chokeslam and finally got the pin to become the No. 1 contender.

Show hit his WMD and KO'ed Randy. Show cut a promo about how Sheamus needs to worry about losing his championship and walked away. Del Rio came back out and beat Orton down in and outside the ring. Booker came out with referees to help Orton and that seemed to be the end of the taping. I guess that might be the angle to write Orton off of TV.


-Big Show does a promo where he wants the world title which brought Orton out and then Del Rio came out....who ate an RKO.

-Antonio Cesaro defeated Santino Marella

-Beth Phoenix defeated Natalya (finally they let Beth win in her home town. After the ring entrances, they played the clips of RAW of Kane & Daniel. During this, there were tons of Welcome Home & Let's Go Buffalo chants. Beth tried to ignore them, but she did acknowledge them) This was a good match with some near finishes. After the match Eve came out and suspended Beth indefinitely.

-Backstage, Teddy and Booker T were talking about a tag team tournament when Beth walked in complaining. Booker T overruled Eve who then accused Teddy of setting her up.

-Wade Barrett defeated Zack Ryder

-The Miz TV show with Sheamus as the guest. The beginning was good as Sheamus as channeling The Rock with his "no one asked you" genre. Vicky & Dolph came down. Sheamus attached MIz and Dolph attacked Sheamus who cleared the ring of the both of them.

-Tag Team Tournament....Round One (brackets are at the end of report)

The Rhodes Scholars (Cody & Sandow) quickly defeated The Usos.

-Ryback easily defeated Tensai. Many "Feed Me More" chants.

-backstage- Del Rio attacked Orton

-Big Show comes out for his match and then Del Rio comes out and says that he will fight the Big Show. Orton attacks him from behind. It was an ok match with Big Show controlling most of the match. The end came when Orton tried an RKO but Big Show kicked out of it...Big Show with 2 choke slams for the clean pin. The Big Show left the ring as Orton layed there....Big Show came back in and gave Orton the WMD. Del Rio then came back out and attacked Orton. It took FOREVER for the refs and Booker T to come out for the save...end of taping

Big Show came to the ring, took the mic, and declared he wants the championship. Randy Orton interrupted to loud cheers. Alberto Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez came out. All three want the match against Seamus for the title. Orton RKO'd Del Rio and then all three ended up leaving the ring.

1. Antonio Cesaro defeated Santino Marella to retain the U.S. Championship.

2. Beth Phoenix defeated Natalya. Beth received huge cheers in her hometown.

Eve came out and announced that Beth Phoenix has been indefinitely suspended per an investigation into the Kaitlyn situation from Night of Champions. However, Booker T immediately reversed the suspension. Eve blamed Teddy Long and made Booker wonder whether he can trust Long.

3. Wade Barrett pinned Zack Ryder. Barrett won by pinfall.

The second installment of Miz TV took place. Sheamus came out immediately. A few minutes later, Vickie Guerrero and Dolph Ziggler came out. They had a word battle over Sheamus's title. A fight ensued and Sheamus cleared the ring.

4. Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow defeated The Uso Brothers.

5. Ryback defeated Tensai. Huge response for Ryback, who picked up Tensai over his head and slammed him down for the win. Wow.

6. Big Show defeated Randy Orton. Alberto Del Rio came out. He beat up Orton backstage. Orton was hurt from the attack. Orton whacked Alberto and headed to the stage. Show ended up chokeslamming and pinning Orton.

Big Show came out and talked about knocking out Sheamus and then a video package aired. Sheamus came out and said may the best man win, then offered his hand. Show declined a handshake and left the ring. Video footage of Show losing his World Title was shown. Show came to the the ring to shake hands, but Sheamus left instead.

1. The Prime Time Players defeated Kofi Kingston and R-Truth in a first-round tag tournament match. A decent match. R-Truth was beatdown throughout the match.

2. Ryback beat Primo. Typical Ryback match. He won with his finisher.

C.M. Punk vs. Dolph Ziggler was set up for later in the show.

3. Wade Barrett beat a local wrestler.

4. The Miz defeated Sheamus by DQ. Big Show came out and delivered a knockout punch to Miz for the DQ.

David Otunga came out and talked about how they beat down Randy Orton last week. Alberto Del Rio came out and mocked Orton. Booker T booked them in the following tag match.

5. Kane and Daniel Bryan defeated Alberto Del Rio and David Otunga. Del Rio abandoned Otunga. Team Hell No won with a chokeslam by Kane followed by a top rope head butt from Bryan.

6. Tesai defeated Big Show by DQ. Sheamus hit the Brogue Kick on Tensai for the DQ.

7. WWE Champion C.M. Punk defeated Dolph Ziggler.

The Smackdown commentary this week appears to be Josh Mathews and JBL. JBL came out to a pretty small reaction, but the males were pumped up. Josh offered up a handshake, but JBL slapped his hand away. Hilarious!

1. Sheamus defeated Tensai. Sheamus won with White Noise followed by a Brogue Kick in about three minutes. Sheamus, unlike some people, had not trouble lifting Tensai.

2. Heath Slater and Jinder Mahal (w/Drew McIntyre) beat Santino Marella and Zack Ryder. The heels won in about four minutes when Slater hit Ryder with an inverted DDT type move.

3. Kane beat Dolph Ziggler by DQ. The DQ came roughly nine minutes into the match when Dolph hit Kane with the Money in the Bank briefcase. Afterward, Dolph tried to attack Kane again, but Kane knocked him out of the ring. Daniel Bryan ran out to help Kane, but Dolph escaped and the tag champs bickered amongst themselves. Matt Striker tried to interview them, but he received a No! Lock and chokeslam.

4. Big Show beat Kofi Kingston. Show won with the WMD in a couple minutes. The Miz was on commentary and trash talked Kofi afterward while he was down in the ring.

There was a backstage segment with Booker T, Teddy Long, Eve, Layla and Kaitlyn. Everyone thinks Eve was responsible for the attack on Eve, and Eve thinks Teddy did it.

5. Sin Cara (w/mood lighting) beat Damien Sandow (w/Cody Rhodes). Sin Cara won in about three mins with a roll up. Cody got ejected, and Sin Cara used the distraction to get the win.

6. Alberto Del Rio beat Daniel Bryan. Del Rio won by submission with the cross arm breaker. ADR talked smack about Orton after the match. Orton showed up and started beating down ADR. Ricardo provided a distraction for ADR to escape, so Randy RKO'd him through the announce table as ADR looked on.

After the cameras stopped filming, Big Show came out in sweats and told Orton to go away. Instead, Randy attacked him. ADR came back out to make it 2-on-1 before Sheamus came out to even it up. ADR took a Brogue Kick and Show took an RKO to send the fans home happy.

The show opened with Miz TV. The Miz spoke about how he lost the Intercontinental Championship. The Miz announced that he will invoke his rematch clause at Hell in a Cell. Then he introduced his guests, Team Hell No. Miz ran down Daniel Bryan for being the weak link. He said he would be the reason they lose at Hell in a Cell. Bryan and Kane argued while Miz played instigator.

Big Show came out and ran down Bryan for the 45-second thing and said nothing like that will never happen again after he beats Sheamus. Cue Dolph Ziggler. He said that he will cash in the Money in the Bank briefcase after the World Heavyweight Championship match at Hell in a Cell. Everyone argued until Miz took command, then Booker T came out. Booker booked Team Hell No vs. Ziggler and Show for later, and Miz vs. Randy Orton as well.

1. Randy Orton defeated The Miz. Orton won with the RKO around the ten-minute mark. Orton received a huge pop. Del Rio was in a luxury box watching the match to play up his own match with Orton at Hell in a Cell.

Backstage, Sheamus talked to Teddy Long and asked for a rematch with Wade Barrett. Teddy booked them in a lumberjack for later in the show.

2. Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow beat Tyson Kidd and Justin Gabriel. Rhodes Scholars won a three-minute glorified squash.

Booker, Teddy and Eve were shown talking backstage. Eve took credit for the lumberjack match idea and made Teddy look bad.

3. WWE Tag Champions Daniel Bryan and Kane defeated Big Show and Dolph Ziggler in a non-title match. Ziggler and Show worked over Bryan for about ten minutes until he made the hot tag to Kane. Bryan tagged back in and locked Ziggler in the No! Lock for the submission victory. Rhodes Scolars came out and attacked Team Hell No as they were celebrating/arguing on the stage.

4. Antonio Cesaro defeated Ted DiBiase in a non-title match. Ted DiBiase entered his same old music. A video aired of Cesaro in front of Sun Studio. He ran down Memphis and Elvis for cheap heat. Cesaro won in three minutes with the Neutralizer.

3MB made their way to the ring. They called themselves the greatest group in WWE. Drew McIntyre popped a few eardrums with his Axl Rose impression. Out came Brodus Clay for a match against Slater.

5. Heath Slater beat Brodus Clay. Slater won in three minutes after distractions from Mahal and McIntyre.

6. Layla beat Natalya. Eve was on commentary for the match. Layla won in 90 seconds. No one cared.

The lumberjacks came out for the main event.

7. World Hvt. Champion Sheamus defeated Wade Barrett in a lumberjack match. The lumberjacks started brawling per usual, then Team Hell No showed up to brawl. Amidst the confusion, Sheamus hit the brogue kick on Barrett for the win.

Ziggler hit his finisher. He tried to cash in his Money in the Bank contract, but Big Show hit the KO punch and said at the end of the show that he would win the belt and that the same fate would happen to him as it did to Ziggler.

Dark Segment

Sheamus vs. Big Show for the World Hvt. Championship never got started. The two brawled until Sheamus hit White Noise and the Brogue Kick to send the crowd home happy.

5. Heath Slater beat Brodus Clay. Slater won in three minutes after distractions from Mahal and McIntyre.

JBL made his entrance, raised #hardbodyref Scott Armstong's hand, and proceeded to beat down Josh Matthews with his hat when Matthews went for a handshake. Hilarious.

Ok, I have never laughed at a wrestling event (other than Chikara) as I am right now. The refs were changing the ropes for Smackdown and were taking FOREVER. A "Put the rope up" chant was started. Then, JBL grabs a mic and absolutely tears into all 4 refs. JBL promo at its best and had probably 10 arena wide "JBL" chants in support. He may be the most over man in the company to these fans here tonight.

Randy Orton made his entrance to open the show. He cut a promo on Alberto Del Rio, who's music cut Orton off. They had a verbal exchange that ended with Del Rio backing down and the crowd chanting "No cahones". Wade Barrett came out of nowhere and hit Orton from behind, then went back up the ramp. Backstage, Teddy Long made the main event for tonight: Orton vs. Barrett.

1. Kane defeated Cody Rhodes. Daniel Bryan on commentary for this match. So is Damien Sandow. Should be quite entertaining TV this Friday. Kane beat Cody Rhodes with a chokeslam in about 5 minutes.

Backstage, Booker T and Big Show had a short exchange

2. The Miz defeated Yoshi Tatsu. Miz won with the Skullcrushing Finale. Another 5 minute match, nothing special.

Backstage, Booker T had Eve, Aksana, Kaitlin, and Layla. Aksana said that Eve texted her and told her to attack Kaitlin. Teddy came in and explained how he knew all along. Eve contended that someone stole her iPad, sent the email, and is framing Eve. Booker set up a triple threat match for the Divas title at HIAC: Eve vs. Layla vs. Kaitlin. He also announced a tag match between the 4 for tonight.

3. Wade Barrett defeated Randy Orton. Alberto Del Rio ran down towards the end of the match, distracted Orton, and Barrett hit his Souvenir Elbow for the win.

The HIAC preshow is advertising that Cena will address the WWE universe about the AJ controversy. Backstage, Booker T and Sheamus had a brief exchange.

Kane told Daniel Bryan that he won tonight, so he's the real tag team champions. Kane and Cody Rhodes are on commentary for the next match. Sandow made his entrance and cut a promo, insulting "YES!" and Bryan's beard.

4. Damian Sandow defeated Daniel Bryan. Sandow won with his straightjacket neckbreaker. Finish came when action went to ringside. Bryan shoved Cody, Kane went after Sandow, Cody shoved Bryan into the ring post and threw him into the ring for Sandow to finish off.

Twelve security people stood in opposite corners of the ring. Josh Matthews set up the mid ring face to face between the participants in the world title match Sunday. Sheamus was out first, followed by Big Show. The security guards formed a line between the two. Big Show put his KO punch over as more powerful than the Rock Bottom, Stunner, AA, and the Brogue Kick. Show then said that Sheamus can't even reach his head with a Brogue Kick.

Sheamus cut a Sheamus promo about how his two favorite things are a pint of ale and a good fight. He said he's excited for the chance to conquer the giant. He then repeated over and over "The time for fighting is now." He charged through the line of guards and attacked Show. Security intervened, so both men cleared house before Sheamus went for the Brogue on Show, who ducked out of the ring and hit the ramp. Sheamus then kicked one of the guards instead. Show should go off the air here

Dark Match Main Event

Sheamus grabbed a mic to set up the dark main event of a Last Man Standing WHC match.

Sheamus defeated Big Show in a last man standing match. Sheamus hit a super-impressive White Noise on the giant for a nine count. Show came back with a chokeslam for a nine count. Finish came when Sheamus ducked the KO and hit a Brogue kick (yes, reaching Show's head) for the 10 count to send the crowd home happy.

Overall good go-home edition of Smackdown

* Michael Cole and JBL are out for commentary. SmackDown opens with Cole in the ring and out comes Sheamus. They show the footage of Sheamus and William Regal in a local pub before Big Show attacked them. Sheamus calls Show out but he appears on the big screen. Wade Barrett comes out and taunts Sheamus.

* Backstage and Booker T makes Sheamus and Regal vs. Barrett and Show for the main event.

* Kofi Kingston defeated The Miz with the Intercontinental Title on the line. After the match, Miz tried to shake Kofi's hand but Kofi kicked him out of the ring.

* Darren Young and Titus O'Neil defeated Sin Cara and Rey Mysterio. After the match, Matt Striker came in for an interview but PTP grabbed the mic and cut a promo and interviewed themselves.

* Big Show and Wade Barrett beat William Regal and Sheamus in a lengthy match. Show hit the KO punch on Regal for the win.

* Brief backstage segment with Alberto Del Rio. Rosa Mendes wishes him luck in the main event.

* Randy Orton defeated Alberto Del Rio in a Falls Count Anywhere match.
